Through a decade of study and field research, we developed Crucible Theory, which reveals the secrets of how leaders transform and what leadermakers can do to enable their development. We’ve cracked the code, and we’re sharing it with the world.
Idylli founder Dan Duckworth first confronted the problem of how to transform leaders several years ago when he was invited to join a small group of leadership experts affiliated with the University of Michigan Ross School of Business to teach others how to lead change. As a master changemaker, he wasn’t satisfied with simply teaching about leadership. He wanted to learn to transform leaders. On this quest, he discovered the Three Keys of Leadership Transformation, which give leaders the power to transform themselves in any situation. The Three Keys are the linchpin of Crucible Theory and the foundation of our LeaderQuest program. The impact of the Three Keys on our early students was breathtaking. Since then, LeaderQuest has liberated hundreds of leaders who have, in turn, transformed their organizations and their worlds.
We created the word “Idylli” to describe an unnamed phenomenon near the high point of the Leader’s Journey. You’ve seen this moment portrayed in epic movies:
